Michael Ralicki - Lawrence
“Mike Ralicki is the hardest working kid we have”, says Lawrence wrestling coach Troy Zimmerlee. Ralicki, or “Iron Horse” as he is nicknamed by his teammates, is the son of Greg and Tracy Ralicki and has wrestled and played football at Lawrence for four years.
Ralicki has also played baseball as a freshman, and ran track for the past two years. Last season, Mike finished as a runner up at the SAC wrestling championships at 160lbs. Ralicki is undecided about a major in college after graduating from Lawrence.
As for this season, Mike says he will do everything it takes to make it to state. Prior to last Wednesday’s matches, Ralicki was sporting a 19-3 record for the season. “I want to do well while I’m still in high school sports,” says Ralicki. Zimmerlee adds, “We lean on Mike for leadership with our younger wrestlers. He sets a great example with his work ethic.”
